Sunday Times – Top Brands 2012

This year marks the 14th occasion that the highly anticipated TOP BRANDS supplement has been published in the Sunday Times. I personally look forward to this annual print to measure up my favourite and household brand against some of the other top players in each category.  It works on the methodology that it analyses brand penetration the market, while also examining its relative strength amongst users and its relative attraction amongst non-users!

I have chosen some of the top categories which I felt would relate most to my (as well as my readers) lifestyles. So without further a dew I give you the Sunday Times TOP BRANDS 2012:

Some of them definitely aren’t top of mind for me, but I guess we have a very diverse make up within South Africa. I would dig to hear your thoughts on some of the winners, losers and wild cards in the lists so please leave a rant/rave in the comments section below!

Interesting. Can’t believe Nokia is ahead of Blackberry in both cellphone categories and 5th overall favourite consumer brand . Neer would have thought! And FNB should have won consumer bank for sure!
