My side kick and partner when it comes to sport and football is none other than Ajax Cape Town brand, 5’s Futbol. They are a relatively new brand and have courts in Milnerton, Sandrift, Mouille Point and soon the V&A Waterfront. I believe it will be these new Waterfront courts which will no doubt help boost the brand to Premium status. The link with Ajax Cape Town is related to youth development, as 5’s Futbol is used as the hub to run the all new Ajax Cape Town soccer schools! They also run a mid-week male and female league, with over 40 teams already having joined for the first instalment of this form of the game!
If that is not enough they have recently completed a deal to have Bafana Bafana and Sundowns star Matthew Booth as the face and ambassador for the brand! It is not like pros are hard to find around this place, as Grant Igesund and Brett Evans both have teams in the league. Some ex Bloem Celtic star also plays, which ensures the competitiveness is fairly high! Can’t wait to meet Matty and pick his brain a bit.
