I saw reports on Twitter late last night that Wayne Rooney asked for a move away from Old Trafford two weeks ago. I thought there could be some truth to it after the strikers attitude change over the last stretch of the Championship winning season. But I woke up this morning to Wayne’s Twitter bio having changed from “Manchester United player”, to “Nike UK athlete”…
For me that’s the writing on the wall and Wazza being the stubborn lad he is, seems fitting after handing in a transfer request a while back! If David Moyes takes over at the helm, which should be announced today, then it is pretty much done and dusted. The two were involved in a very public spat, after the former Everton wonder-kid made allegations about Moyes in his autobiography! The Everton manager then sued the striker over the allegations, and, knowing Rooney he won’t want to play under him when he takes over at The Red Devils!
 Word in the tabloids say Chelsea are looking the hit man to London, but knowing Fergie he won’t let Wazza anywhere near another Premier League side that is challenging for the title. Especially because of the fact that they will most likely see the return of The Special One, meaning The Blues will be in the mix for a title push this coming season! In all honesty if he wants to go, let him go…
Clearly he is not liking life living in the shadow of RVP and looking at his performances last year, I would much prefer if we signed the likes of Ronaldo, Lewandowski or Falcao! Not to mention getting rid of the lazy Evra, with Moyes bringing Baines along to Old Trafford with him 😉
