Liverpool FC awaiting sale!

It seems like some of the hardest times on the red side of Merseyside are being experienced as we speak! As a United fan I hope the deal falls through and those scouse bastards go down to the Championship where they belong ;)

American businessmen George Gillett and Tom Hicks

Liverpool Football Club have been approached by NESV (New England Sports Ventures) about the sale of their Anfield outfit. NESV also happen to be the proud owners of Major League Baseball side, the Boston Red Sox. It is about time this takeover happens as Liverpool have found themselves gain only 6 points from their first 7 league games, achieving their worst ever start to a Premier League campaign. They also failed to make the UEFA Champions League this year, which means not only their form, but also funding is at an all time low!

The Liverpool faithful at the Kop end speaking their mind...

Liverpool’s current American owners, Tom Hicks and George Gillett bought the Merseyside club in February 2007 for 218.9 million pounds. The American owners have come under much scrutiny from the Anfield faithful, with derogatory banners an ever present at home games. The Kop were always against the new owners coming in and it now seems the board should have listened a bit more closely to their faithful firm. The five-times European champions owe 237 million pounds to their major creditors the Royal Bank of Scotland, which has set a deadline of October 15 for the debt to be refinanced and Broughton said the agreement removed the burden of acquisition debt.

Roy Hodgson could be the first man to depart once the takeover is complete.

The scousers start to the season has been dismal, so much so that they are 150/1 to win the league and only 18/1 to get relegated… It seems like some of the hardest times on the red side of Merseyside are being experienced as we speak! As a United fan I hope the deal falls through and those scouse bastards go down to the Championship where they belong 😉

It’s actually a done deal, the board, premiership and the Bank have said they wont go into administration, therefore the owners have no choice.
when the date for the recall of the loan arrives the bank will push for a forced sale if the papers have not been signed yet.

But it’ll be done by the end of the week.

YNWA – is the Liverpool anthem and stand’s for “You’ll Never Walk Alone”. Me, being a United fan said YNWA – meaning You Will Never Win Anything as a mockery to the scouser’s 😉
