Cape Town Festival Of Beer 2011

I went to the media launch of the Cape Town Festival Of Beer last week, better known to some on Twitter as @CTfestofbeer or #CTFOB. I just wanted to say I really loved the experience and I really think the launch and the event deserves the full credit it gets from the beer loyalists in Cape Town! It is basically a way to lower the barriers between the massive brands like Black Label, who are the headline sponsor, and the more micro brewers such as Darling Brew, Brewers & Union, Camelthorn, Paulaner and many more!

The event will be taking place from 25th – 27th November at Hamilton’s Rugby Club, Mouille Point. Yes you heard me correctly, 3 full days of drinking the best beer our beautiful City has to offer. Who the fuck in their right mind wouldn’t want to go to something like this? Not to mention there will probably be those hot promo girls bringing us beer all day, dressed in traditional beer maid outfits 😉 I have already got my hands on a 3 day pass and if you are looking for me over that weekend, you can probably find me in one of the dumpsters… Don’t judge me, I have a problem when it comes to drinking good quality beer 😉

Hot ladies serving me beer all day? Now we are talking 😉

They also mentioned there would be a Kings Table offer, where you and 10 mates are able to purchase and entire keg and sit around your own Kings Table drinking, talking kak and catching up. What most men do when they meet for a beer if it doesn’t involve sport! See you all there, I hope I can make it through all the beers in 3 days… Saying that I wonder how many different beers there actually are, and, if that is even humanly possible?
