Being a sporty person by day, I was looking for a watch that isn’t too heavy on the pocket but had all the necessities needed for a training addict. I basically needed it to include the time, date, stopwatch, light and water resistance. I already have a CiVViO watch I got a while back, so when I saw their 2 new models coming out I got my hands on this Orbit style!
I haven’t really taken it off much since I got it, and, the best thing about it is the fact that it doesn’t have a buckle… Correct, so it’s basically like a rubber wrist band or bangle on steroids. They are 5 ATM water resistant and include the time, date, alarm, chime stopwatch and back light!
As I said it doesn’t have a buckle (as you can see below on my arm) so it just slips on and off like a rubber band. They come in black, blue, red and pink so there is a colour for everyone. It also comes in four different sizes (XS, S, M, L) so you don’t need to worry about it being too tight or too loose! The other new model they are introducing is the Splash II. It is a more traditional style watch with a buckle and kind of reminds me of those old school Casio watches. Although these aren’t digital like the Orbit, they have the arms to tell the time!
The Splash II model has just arrived and I was torn between which colour I wanted? So I hit them up about doing a competition and being the legends they are, gave me one of each! They just arrived today, so I can now change it up a bit and don’t have to wear out my Orbit…
They Splash II comes in baby blue, red and neon yellow. I personally like the baby blue one the best, but they are all pretty legit on the eye! They are also 5 ATM water resistant, with calendar and negative ion infused silicon watch strap. They are also available at Totalsports, Sportsmans Warehouse and Due South stores nationwide for R189. I need the Splash II! Never take my phone with to gym so I need a handy wristwatch to keep track of time and rest periods. This will be so perfect for me cos I go to gym everyday and the watch will actually be used for what its intended.
That Orbit style is sick man! One of the only watches I could use to play hockey with without worrying about scratching myself or the naaiers I play against.
