I have just seen on Sky Sports News that my hero, Eric Cantona is going to be making a return to football. He once said; “I am not a man, I am Cantona!” Let me tell you I could easily believe that statement with the things that this beast used to do on the park. Who will ever forget his FA Cup Final winner against Liverpool, his delicate chip into the top corner, or even his world famous fly kick that saw him banned from football for 9 months. Which ever way you choose to remember the King of Old Trafford, there is no doubt that he was one of the Premier League greats!
The New York Cosmos used to be a star studded side back in the 1980’s, before the breakdown on the American League! It now seems that they are looking to return to the sport, with a few ex-payers and big names already on board! I am glad to say that I have met this absolute machine on Clifton 4th when I was still a young lad. Must be the biggest icon I have ever met and let me tell you my best mate Mark Habib still won’t believe me to this day 😉

I thought I would include this little clip below, just because it send shivers down my spine every time I watch it. It is the Return of Eric The King to action after a long 9 months out. It couldn’t have been sweeter, seeing as though it was against those Scouse bastards, he setup the first and slotted a penny 😉 All the best on your new adventure King Eric. It was a pleasure meeting you all those years ago!
