Comedian Russell Peters was last in South Africa in 2007 and after a stint on the sidelines he is back! He joined the Forbes list top 10 earning American comedians of 2011, alongside names like Chris Rock & Jerry Seinfeld. Peters has said “I’ve been coming to South Africa since the 90’s and I love it there!” After visiting SA in 2007 he went on to do numerous sell out shows in Sydney, London and New York!
He welcomed a new daughter in 2010 and has taken a break from the comedy world whilst he was busy producing and acting in films in North America. He has also been doing voice over work for some animated films, which is no surprise given his humorous attitude and ability to win over a crowd! In May 2012 he is set to appear alongside film star hottie Eva Mendez in “Girl In Progress.”
