It just makes Lohan look like a minger?
I have always wondered why on earth chicks wear belts…halfway up their body? I started noticing this trend while I was still at AAA School of Advertising. I have come to a few conclusions about their purpose. They are either used to a) make you look thinner b) to look good c) as both a belt and a push up bra d) a corset e) a belt.
I would say a bra, but she has a flat chest...So I'm going for corset
If you are some kind of fashion guru please let me know their true purpose, as I am probably the furthest from being a Rico Swavé myself!

The ‘body belt’ is actually referred to as a waist belt. The waist belt is usually worn as an accessory, just as a lady would wear a necklace etc. It adds something to a plain outfit. However, the waist belt also creates an empire line which is an A-line that flows over wider hips and or rounder bellys and creates a slimming effect. If the waist belt is worn directly under the breasts, it also serves to emphasise them. Usually skinnier girls will wear a waist belt to emphasise a tiny waist.
