Zone Festival – Ticket Giveaway

Thanks to my mates over at Psynopticz & Nexus Media I have been given 2 tickets to give away to you psy fiends for the first ever Zone Festival on the 5th of November 2011. After the rise in more festival style parties in Cape Town, I am extremely keen to check this one out and even more stoked to be running a competition for the event!

The mechanics and kinesis of the underground are heaving and synchronised in the musical industria. A tough and grinding digital soundscape engineers our energies into a pounding machine of dance. Bodies become mechanical animals and move in locomotive fusion, to an audio agenda of the global collective. At this time we cast our eyes upwards to the cosmos and honourΒ the sacred universe that touches our skies when the Earth’s orbit passes through the tail of comet Elenin’s path. The micro machine that mirrors the macro astral workings… This is ZONE!

With acts like Menog, Geko, Twisted System, Ganeisha, Headroom, Deliriant & a debut from my bra Mad Piper, this is definitely going to be one of the best musically driven events of the season! Trust me, you DO NOT want to miss this one psy fiends… Goodluck!

The line up is so huge I’m struggling to decide who I’m most keen to see however if i had to choose it would be Twisted System and Pitch Hikers!!! oh and Deliriant LIVE SET. Ill be seeing Ganeisha this weekend so probably be adding her to the list to. I’m not going to plead poverty cause I’m doing this party either way but give me a ticket and make my party all the more sweeter.

Haha well I will see you this weekend then! Lank keen for Deliriant at 08.30am and amped for Ganeisha too. New flavour is always nice to chew on πŸ˜‰

I’m amped to see Ganeisha, Menog and Geko
Whose beats will create a party most pyscho –
To have these acts come from all over,
    I feel like I’ve found a rare four-leaf clover.

    But a true South-African I will remain,
And crave Twisted System’s sound again and again.
I would love to stomp to their crazy trance beats –
And a ticket would make this great dream complete!

Shot dude! Can’t fucking wait to see them again!

I can’t choose only one…. I arrive back in CT the morning of the 5th, I have a hen night that evening, and I can think of nothing better then leaving the hen night at midnight (hopefully with the bride-to-be in the boot of my car) and driving through to the party to stomp on African Soil for the first time in 6 months.

Shift vs Pitch hikers, Geko, Menog and Headroom have all got me a little bit irrationally energetic.

As is the idea of actually being able to wear skimpy summery clothes again

Now that sounds like a really convincing story… Winners will be announced on Friday, hold thumbs x

  6. Court October 27, 2011 at 1:44 pm #

A very tricky one to decide on! I must say the sets that I am really keen for are Cybernetix and Terrorbyte! Love that style and hope they deliver as always!

Fuck me this lineup is madness almost 5 yrs since ive seen the psy legends and been a long time since Menog played! But all in all this looks like an Oldschool party lineup which im fucking stoked about, This has to be one of the most anticipated parties of the Year!! Deleriant swichcache, twisted system menog and genashia gona be slamming! But look at the lineup as a whole and a psy lover and you’ll be impressed all in all. win or not im gonna rip that place a new arsehole!

  10. christina October 28, 2011 at 6:46 pm #

Geko,:) definitely an act not to be missed, I can already feel the beats from hears to my feet, can’t wait its going to be a sick party, as always, … Looking forward to seeing all the familiar faces, for another magical weekend,

Deliriant was once a lover of mine so i will always have strong feelings when he plays, Mad Piper and Killawatt are both my boiza’s so I am very proud and excited to see them play their debut live sets but I haven’t seen Menog in 3 years so I might just ejaculate in Borat costume when he plays…(Yes I’m planning on wearing a Borat costume)

  12. Hafu in Armani November 1, 2011 at 7:13 am #

  14. giles November 3, 2011 at 12:12 am #

All acts are gonna be crazy!twiasted system is the key to my zone! Will be the best graduation preze if I win this ticket!

  15. Courtney November 3, 2011 at 10:25 am #

With a line up like that, it is almost imposible to select just one to pick as a favourite. A closing set with Headroom is the ultimate psy dream to what looks like to be an incredible stomping adventure. However, Geko would have to get my vote, it is always encouraging to see international acts grace our land with their vibrant sounds. He adopts a notion that music does something to the soul, a belief that I have follwed for many years. Music is more than just a sound, it is a process of your entire mind and body becoming one with the music and a unity between those around you. Zone Festival is something that should not be missed!

So wtf did this Lisa Clarke do that got her the winning tickets?? I don’t even see her reply on this post!!! Answer please.

    • Mr. Cape Town November 8, 2011 at 5:36 pm #

If you read the competition entry rules it says you need to tell me on my Facebook Fan Page which artist you would most like to see… So to answer the second part to that she never ever had to reply to the actual blog post. In reply to the first question she shared the comp and entered on the Fan Page as the rules stated. Because she met all the requirements she was entered into a random draw (that a plugin chooses a random winner from) and she was the winner… I really appreciate your effort but understand not everyone can win. I enter many comps online for which I don’t get anywhere, but today I just got a R1000 LEE Jeans hamper I won on http://www.mycitybynight.co.za because of my persistence.

Keep at it Lauren, hopefully next time you have some better luck and I am sorry you never won this time around!
