Black Label Launches NEW Man Can Packaging

When it comes to beer there are only 3 brands that I drink habitually. In the Light sector that is Bavaria Light which is a 2.8% full-bodied beer and doesn’t taste water down like some of the other Light beers in SA (and it is import quality not locally produced). Not to mention the fact that Castle Lite isn’t actually a lighter beer as it is still 4.5% alcohol … In the general beer sector I go for Carling Black Label because it tends to be sweeter than the rest and also has a lekker full-bodied taste. When it comes to draught I tend to enjoy and ice cold Peroni or Castle as my first choice. Black Label have just introduced an all new man size can in a somewhat different packaging style to what we have come to expect from the brand.

The New Can:

It seems they have moved away from the traditional red colour which used to dominate their cans and moved towards a more premium look and feel. Silver and black dominate this new packaging, with their award winning badge boldly displaying their International status on the front! I quite like it and not to mention it is a man size can so you get more bang for your buck 😉 They have also recently launched a new 440ml bottle, which sits between their normal glass offerings of 330ml & 750ml Zamalek… I managed to find a picture of this new bottle for you too and posted it below:

The New 440ml Bottle:

Once again I like the bold branding and the more premium look and feel as they moved away from a dominant label, and, rather opted to in-grave the famous Black Label logo into the actual glass bottle. The smaller, more subtle label is more than enough at the top around the bottle neck. It kind of reminds me of what Carlsberg looks like. Not a bad move at all in my books!
