Durbanite Jordy Smith Wins The Billabong Pro 2011!

23 year old Durban boy Jordy Smith has successfully defended his Billabong Pro title, with a victory over Aussie Mick Fanning in the Finals! He has lined up sections throughout the competition more efficiently than the Rastafarian's in Knysna Village! Well done bro...

Defending Champion Jordy has been struggling a bit to find a board that is comfortable under his feet, after his favourite choice of board broke during the early stages of the competition. He has looked on top of his game throughout, and, lined up sections throughout the competition more efficiently than the Rastafarian’s in Knysna Village! The Billabong Pro is know to surfers as the Wimbledon of surfing and we are all stoked that Jords could represent in style. It also happens to be the birthday of ex World Champion, Andy Irons, who passed away unexpectedly not even a year ago!

Nice one Jordy, nothing like winning it at one of your favourite breaks 😉 Cape Town salutes 2 true champions today! Awe to Jordy and Andy…
