Bazique
2026: Three Days of Rhythm, Ritual and River Magic
6–8 March 2026 | Buffalo Drift, Tulbagh
Bazique returns to Buffalo Drift from 6 to 8 March 2026, transforming a stretch of riverside farmland outside Tulbagh into a multi-sensory playground of sound, sculpture and self-expression. More than a music festival, Bazique is a temporary village built on rhythm and imagination — four genre-defining stages, large-scale art, a dedicated wellness sanctuary, riverside dancefloors and open skies overhead.

Set against trees, sand and flowing water, the festival grounds invite barefoot wandering between music arenas, art pieces and shaded chill zones. Days unfold slowly; nights gather momentum.
Four Stages. Four Worlds.
The River Stage anchors the weekend with house and techno curated by WASH Records, Wolfkop Weekender and Sexy Groovy Love. International names including Pavel Petrov and Rafael Cerato join South Africa’s Floyd Lavine, whose Berlin-honed sound meets local roots in a signature fusion set.
New for 2026, the Elevate Stage is presented in collaboration with Summer Camp and Habitat — spotlights psychedelic and progressive energy, featuring Berlin’s Protonica alongside respected local acts Headroom and Protoculture.
The Tropical Roast Stage keeps things sun-soaked and groove-driven, with tropicalDISKO taking the reins on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Secret Circus Stage shifts gears on Saturday with live, genre-bending bands and a dose of raw rock-and-roll spirit.
Art That Moves With You.
Visual storytelling runs throughout the site, with installations created entirely by South African artists. From illuminated structures to interactive builds, the landscape becomes part gallery, part playground.

Among the centrepieces: a sculptural spaceship by Joharra Hartly and striking mushroom forms by Reece Brice, crafted from reclaimed plastic collected on Kommetjie beach. Expect unexpected moments at every turn.
Wellness, Ritual and Late-Night Telescopes.
The Shanti Wellness field offers a counterpoint to the dancefloor with a programme of acro-yoga, elemental flow, sound journeys, singing circles and energy workshops. The Little Day Dream Spa provides treatments and massage, while tarot readings at Magikal Gem add a mystical touch.
A curated non-alcoholic bar introduces thoughtfully crafted zero-proof drinks, and as darkness settles, a large telescope invites festivalgoers to pause and look skyward before returning to the music.
Markets, Tastings and Fireside Feasts.
At the heart of the festival village stands a sculptural spire around which the market and food court gather. Expect Champagne tastings, Indonesian street food, pizza, halaal options, burgers, fresh coconuts and sweet treats.

Stalls feature handmade jewellery, sustainable fashion, vegan chakra-inspired fragrances, candles and artisan goods, an extension of the festival’s creative ethos.
Stay the Weekend.
For those settling in, the glamping field offers an exclusive retreat with its own shaded lounge, bar and morning yoga. Guests can book spa treatments, enjoy tastings, and start the day with gourmet coffee, breakfast wraps or mimosas without leaving camp.

Accommodation ranges from bell tents to dome tents, with ready-set-up options starting from R1 200 per person.
Bazique 2026 is a gathering shaped by music, art and intention, three days by the river where movement, creativity and connection take centre stage.
