Xavi – WC Passing Record

It has been said that World Cup winner Xavi Hernandez made more passes in the FIFA World Cup than the entire New Zealand team.

Midfield Magician

I just got posted an interesting fact on Facebook and thought it might catch the attention of football lovers around town. It has been said that World Cup winner Xavi Hernandez made more passes in the FIFA World Cup than the entire New Zealand team. To me that is astonishing and goes a long way to show that he was instrumental in Spain’s victorious World Cup run.

Looking forward to seeing Xavi in action this season.

A big season awaits the tricky midfielder as Jose Mourihno takes the reigns at Real Madrid. The arrival of David Villa, Xavi’s Spanish team mate, could be a bit of a scare for other Champions League sides as the pair are an extremely dangerous combination!
