My mate just sent me this link and when I saw NASA in the URL, I thought “agh what is this boring crap” he has sent me now? Until I clicked through and saw their latest Polar Operational Environmental Satellites program… Or what they are calling it, the POES program! Hahaha little do they know down here in South Africa we are having a little chuckle about one of the most professional organisations in our universe! Apparently it is pretty old news, but I missed it so thought I would share with some other who may have too.
The POES project instrumentsprovide critical operational climate data that is integrated into the weather prediction model used in developing current and extended weather forecasts.
