I just saw my buddy Mike Silver from Stretch Experiential post an image and thought I should share this bizarre Guinness World Record that was broken at Plett Rage with you… Yes you read correctly they broke the Guinness World record for the most people spooning at once. Stimorol Infinity is pushing the boundaries at this year’s Plett Rage, by successfully attempting to break a Guinness World Record for the most people spooning at one time. Yes we said spooning. On Wednesday (4 th Dec 2012) at the Neverlasting Festival – brought to you by Stimorol Infinity, 682 Ragers took a break from partying and dancing to help the gum that goes on and on build a train of spooners. The current world record stood at 529 people.
The idea of the group spooning event was to celebrate the Neverlasting Festivals second days theme of Love, which unlike Stimorol Infinity, can sometimes fizzle out. Ragers, keen for something new and exciting, got into the action cuddling fellow Ragers in a long, consistent spooning train. 682 spooning Ragers were captured on film, by the AFDA film crew from Cape Town, and all that remains is to submit the documentation for final validation by the Guinness World Record agency.
