Stimorol SA did a campaign a while back asking us as consumers to vote for their new gum, and, give it a name/flavour. Well this morning I woke up to a parcel containing an evidence bag, the Mega Mystery gum, a lava lamp, plus another packet of gum containing flavour name the decided on and the all new packaging!
If you want a reminder about the Stimorol Mega Mystery campaign you can click [here] to see some of the names loads of cosumers suggested on my previous post. I was thinking along the lines of tuity fruity or tropical fruit… I was far off the name that they finally went for, but it definitely told my taste buds something along those lines! Introducing… the all new Stimorol – Alien Abduction!
Stimorol recieved over 295 000 wild and quirky name submissions including Laserbeam, Photobomb and Multitasking. A number of these entrants were reqarded with their own personalised gum pack or a video themed according to their suggestion! The 2012 ‘You Decide The Flavour’ campaign was led by a massive digital campaign, and was supported by aove-the-line activities including: street pole adverts, TV adverts, radio strings, online banners, MXIT site, as well as below-the-line elements including in-store sampling, activation and PR activities.
5 million Limited Edition Stimorol – Alien Abduction packs will go on sale at all major retails nationwide soon for around R13.99! Thanks for the awesome lava lamp guys, it’s just started warming up and the goo is making all these weird fetus shapes. Always wanted one of these. Follow @StimorolSA on Twitter and use the #AlienAbduction hash tag if you are talking about, tasting or uploading pics of the new chewing gum in store!
