On Wednesday we saw the birth of a new night club in Cape Town. I will run you through the evening as I am not ranting or raving about the place, I’ll let you make your decision on it. Although, I do believe it will become the new Pulse/Get Dumb Wednesday vibe in and around town!

I got to the venue in Portswood Road near the One & Only to stand in a guest list line. I’m not complaining about that, but one thing I will rant about is the awful smell lingering around the place. At first I thought I was in Hout Bay Harbour and then realised it could well be one of the hoes in the line who didn’t shower after gym 😉 I got in for free thanks to my mate Jess whose boyfriend, Daniel Berman, is involved in running the night! The venue is great and very outdoor based, with a rad indoor area with 2 bars on either side of the club. The dj box is a raised booth situated in the middle of the dance floor and the sound is quite decent. Definitely a sick venue for a trance party I reckon 😉

The one huge problem is the ‘drink specials’ . I got to the bar and these are just some of the rates we payed throughout the night. Black Label R20, Dbl Vodka Redbull R80, Btl of Olmeca Tequila R540, Heineken R25. I did speak to my mates Shaun and Daniel who run the night and they said the venue first wanted to see what they bring to the table, before they had any special rates! I must say there were some damn fine female specimens there though, hopefully it doesn’t become a cock fest!

Hey Stacey. I have tried to contact the guys from Casa many times as I get a lot of ppl, just like yourself, who are interested in either partying there or hiring out the venue. As they never get back to me I cant help you, other than passing you onto the guy who runs Wednesday nights there, Shaun Binder. Have a look for him on Facebook, he also runs Open Entertainment and Fridays in the Skay at the old Hemisphere, now called 31 in the Absa building!

I would love to help, but to be honest I have tried to get their details myself but to no avail! Good Luck. I could suggest some other places though if you do not succeed!

Hey, the people at Casablanca are lank anal and have never once gotten back to me. As of guestlist for 16 thats quite an ask even for me. I would recommend contacting ppl from Trinity or Fez!
