Like most days I mentioned on Twitter last week what I was up to for the day. One of those errands included getting my bush trimmed, and, no not the one in my scants I do that on my own. So as Twitter does, someone replied asking where I am going to get it done. I have always been a value man, so my natural answer was Theo’s Barber in Sea Point as it is the cheapest. I got a reply from one of the people associated with a top end hair salon and nail bar in Green Point, who offered to give me a free cut. So naturally I went to see what Reds Hair Design was all about…
If you didn’t know already, that is me on the right. Stoked with my new trim!
The owner greeted me as soon as I walked in and it looked like he already knew it was me before I even opened my mouth. The owner Jeff actually turned out to be a proper legend, and, we chatted about trance parties, his ladies nights at the salon, barbers and Cape Town. I got a sick head massage, whilst enjoying the view of a lekker blonde doing her nails across the way. What more could you ask for whilst getting your haircut other than a blowjob maybe? Reds Hair Design is on Somerset Road, above Woolies by Giovanni’s! Jeff has been in the game for 20 years and I am going to say that it is the best haircut I have ever had. Usually at the barber there are small things that they stuff up, but this time around I am all full of praises!
Hair, nails & make up are their territory. But they are known for their awesome colour techniques!
For the ladies, keep an eye out on my blog for my next post about the Reds Hair Design ladies nights. Brands are welcome to join and have an intimate night experiencing each others products, as well as learning a thing or two from the ‘masters of colour’ about some hair and nail tips!
