The time has come for all the males of the Cape to show just how much Pora blood they have in them and just how fast their moustache grows…Movember is an event/challenge that lasts 30 days and was said to be created by men from Adelaide, Australia. The Movember Charity Foundation was later created in 2004, in an attempt to raise awareness about male disease, testicular cancer and depression.
I have decided to run a little competition revolving around this fun adventure. I have never personally taken part in this and to be 100% honest I am yet to decide about this time around…I know my pops definitely donned a stache when he was a lietjie, but I guess that was in the 60’s so it was definitely more normal back then! But I am far from normal so what the hell I might just give it a go. The problem is when my moustache starts to get long I either have to shave it, or I start plucking the hairs by habit…Maybe this event will help me cure my habits and experience new waters. Who knows, chicks could dig it and then it would be with me for life – naat!
