Dizzy’s – The Dive

So in conclusion the place didn't burn down and that made me a bit sad, as the fire was just a minor problem in the kitchen :( So I'm gonna give this shit hole a 1/5 for customer service and they clearly show they do not care about their trusted local customers!

Yesterday I looked out the window after my football match and saw a huge cloud of smoke around the beachfront area. So I phoned Baywatch Armed Response to see what the problem was only to find they were not answering. My first impression was that there was a bomb somewhere on the beach front, only to find out some great news that there was a fire at Dizzy’s! As sick as it sounds it actually made me happy?

I guess you are wondering why. That siff place is actually the reason I started this blog effort, after my friend Lance, Darren and I got treated with a total lack of respect. We went there one night after St Yves night club in Camps Bay. As usual, we wanted a late night Giancarlo Pizza (Avocado, Chicken, Camembert, fresh Rocket and Tomato) and a R22 litre Castle Draught 😉 So we met some Norwegian girls there and Lance went to get us some drinks. It seemed odd to pay R167 for 3 beers and 1 double vodka Red Bull, which meant the Vodka Red Bull must have been R101, as 3 litre draughts are only R66?

So as any normal human does, Lance asked to see the slip. Only for the barmen to tell him that both printers are broken…So having a look at the screen he saw the total and the ‘supposed total’ to be a lot more than was showing on the screen. The barmen was ripping us off and even tried to double swipe his card saying it didn’t work the first time. We called the manager who after 15 minutes of arguing reimbursed us and thereafter told the bouncer to kick us out. That idiot is no longer there after getting fired, what great news! The bouncer however is the biggest monkey in town and still guards the door of that shit hole.

Some other problems with the venue are the ongoing theft, not to mention the cocaine dealers milling around the place all the time. I don’t do coke myself but even I can spot those sharks lurking around waiting for some bait! Funny how everyone, including my father, knows it’s a late night drug den except for the trusty SAPS.
