I have got such love for good quality fresh fruit martinis. The options are endless really and you can enjoy a good martin no matter what the time of the day it is. The only problem being that we cannot sip on these great drinks for 2 reasons, 1 they are to damn good and get downed in one sip, and, 2 we cannot be seen holding on to a martini glass for longer than one sip !!! street cred bro, street cred.
Here are 2 recipes for summer martinis that will get the taste buds dancing 😉
The Sour Apple Martini
Method
Half green apple chopped into chunks
12.5ml lemon juice
12.5ml apple sours
12.5ml sugar syrup
37.5ml vodka of your choice
Muddle the apple chunks & syrup, then add all your ingredients, shake and double strain into a chilled martini glass
Garnish with an apple wheel or slice or fan like the picture.
The Watermelon Martini
Method
4 large watermelon chunks
12.5ml lemon juice
25ml gomme syrup
37.5ml vodka
Muddle the melon and syrup to extract all the juice, add the rest of the ingredients and shake it really well in your cocktail shaker. Double strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a watermelon sail.
