Last night I decided to go down to Nando’s to get some chow for the family. I ordered a starter livers and giblets with a roll, a half chicken and a chicken burger meal. It took the usual time for the order to arrive, which is not that quick seeing as though chicken takes a while to cook. I paid, got some extra mild sauce sachets and seemed to be happy with the visit to my local Camps Bay Nando’s!
When I got home I immediately sensed a problem when i felt the weight of the livers against the giblets…Because I have a scale at home I decided to measure the 2 packages against each other. Just as I thought the Livers weighed 209 grams, whereas the giblets weighed 134 grams (including sauce and packing).
As any normal human that’s starving and peri- peri disappointed would do, I phoned the outlet. Just as I expected there was no answer… I guess it was a cold night and the staff did not want to think about the prospect of a late telephonic order, which would require them to fire up the grills again.
So the next best thing, I went onto Google and decided to email the regional manager Gary. As I got to work this morning I had a reply from Gary saying that they outsource their livers and giblets and they get packed and weighed by the suppliers. He was very nice about it and said he would be taking it to the top as he was paying for full portions just as I was. Gary asked for my number and later called me to offer myself and my mother free giblets and livers on him when we next decide to visit Nando’s, Camps Bay.
I was disappointed with the problem, luckily I had a half chicken to curb my hunger though! Thanks to Gary I will once again be using Nando’s Camps Bay and he was very apologetic about the whole scenario. Thanks Gary you champion, I think ill go grab that meal on my way to the Camps Bay Bowling Club tonight to line my stomach!
That is exactly what I expect from a big company like Nando’s and have to say they handled the situation to the tee. I guess he could have thrown in a half chicken and burger meal, but i guess that is pushing it a bit 😉

Can you please hire/place people who can speak properly at you take away department, I mean those people cant even speak basic English. I am was not happy with the service i received from Nandos in Malibongwe Drive, Shelly the lady who helped me wasn’t helpful from the first call and it took my order one hour 30mins to arrive.
THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE NANDOS!!!
