I wrote a post a while back about Mr. Delivery. It was fuelled by the fact that we realised Mr. Delivery charges you twice for a delivery. Once for the actual delivery and again for a processing fee. Apparently it was introduced last November to ensure all parties are able to stay afloat, except us poor consumers π
Mr. delivery replied to my blog post and have acted extremely well in the wake of the complaint. This morning David Chait dropped a R100 voucher at my house to use at my disposal, as a sorry for the complaint I spoke about. This is exactly what I initially wanted to achieve when starting my blog. Not to get money and merchandise from companies, but rather to get the right, positive reaction from these big brands in order to try and better the customer service we get all over town! If everyone was so up to date with onlineΒ conversation and social media, their companies would not get so much bad word of mouth affecting their sales.
So to conclude, if you have a big company out there try to follow in the footsteps of Mr. Delivery and Virgin Active, because these guys sure know how to keep a brand afloat! The main lesson that I learnt from this is; Big brands out there, please do yourself a favour and get yourself Google Alerts, this proves it is worth the extra bit of effort every month! Mr. Delivery, I would like to say thank you for the perfect response and it will definitely not be a grudge purchase next time, but rather one with a smile on my face. Big up David and if you would be interested in joining forces to ensure Mr. Cape Towns food is always on time, I would be obliged π
Hi,
how exactly are you going to be able to redeem this voucher, as all mrdelivery guys operate independently from each other and from head office.
@Marc: I actually redeemed it last night. I ordered a half chicken and a strips & rice from Nando’s. I simply told them to call me back as I am not wasting my airtime and the manager of The Sea Point branch personally called me back, took my order and made sure everything ran smoothly π It was a pleasure, although the delivery guy was worried when he saw a voucher instead of cash…
@ Marc: Does discount vouchers want to be my new best friends? Coz Mr. Cape Town sure loves a good special π
Hi, I just followed the articles before this one and was wondering if you are that the Mr Delivery Menu prices are marked up.
During the week, I’ll usually collect the Hake and Chips from Ocean basket, it’s a bargain at R37. The other day I ordered it from MrD and it was R44 – that’s almost 20% added.
So then the Delivery fee on top of that and then the processing fee you wrote about.
I’d like to know how they justify the Menu Mark-up.
Cheers.
Great Aidan I am going to Tweet them your comment let’s hope they reply!
