Stormers Vs Highlanders Preview

10 Years in Cape Town and tonight is my first night going to watch a Live Rugby game at Newlands! WOW...this should be interesting. Come on Stormers!

Tonight is a big night for the DHL Stormers having won their first two games and the Highlanders doing one better and winning their first three! The pressure is on them to play attractive, running, results orientated rugby. It is going to be my first experience at Newlands at a rugby game and I cant wait to go get ‘Open’ with the gents. I am going with Dylan (Mr Cape Town) and Scott Canny from www.sportingbet.co.za.

The Stormers!

Scotty organised us the tickets, whilst Dyls and I are organising the piss up. PreΒ  and post match obviously πŸ˜‰ Haha. We are going to the stadium at around 6pm, so when you see me at The Assembly tonight at around 11pm, dont be too alarmed. Please πŸ˜‰

The boys warming up before their game last week!

Back to the rugby talk though, let’s take a look at the log and what a victory tonight will do for the Stormers.

POINTS BREAKDOWN:
– Four points for a win,
– Two points for a draw,
– One bonus point for a loss by seven points or less,
– One bonus point for scoring four or more tries in a match.

Current Super Rugby Log

Clearly a win is crucial for the boys and a bonus point will set the fans off on a celebration frenzy tonight. Hopefully I will remember the game and the score! If not, come on Stormers, you beauties!

Can someone who has never been to Newlands(not even once) Really be taken seriously as a rugby scribe, i think not

Calv has never been to rugby…I have bra! Pleanty times, he is a football guru.

Just wanted him to experience the Newlands vibe and made him do a write up so that he was up to date with the new Super Rugby format and the recent form of both sides! I get the point though Johnny, not much credibility in the rugby field, but football…That is his genre so look out for our new website launching soon πŸ˜‰
