If you don’t know who “The Kloof Neck Skater” is by now, well then you must be living under a rock, or in a remote cave without internet connectivity. My buddy Dec’io made the papers a while back for setting off the speed camera on Kloof Neck road, much to the delight of Helen Zille and her crew 😉 Dec’io is back and this time in one of the BEST adverts I have ever seen. Funnily enough it was my mates who made the advert too. Maybe I am bias, being an ex skater, but this is fucking EPIC!

I hate to be “That Guy” But I though it was a bad ad. Awesome video, Awesome camera skills, Awesome everything. But I failed to see how Merc has anything to do with long boarding. I am not feeling any more inclined to buy a Merc than i was ten minutes ago. A long-board perhaps 😛 but not a Merc. Just my thoughts.
Ahoy Craig! Everyone is entitled to an opinion brother, I was more talking from a cinematography perspective and the quality of the shooting. But how I see it, this is the Merc “rally” style racing car for the road and slides and performs much the same as Dec’io on his long board! Either way, it’s a great watch and very well shot. I love this and think its an amazing job. We all know Merc – they haven’t got much more to prove or to show off…..the timeless quality of the brand speaks for itself. This is exciting, adds something youthful and daring. Stig on a Board – very clever 🙂
