Princess Diana’s niece charged for assaulting my good mate!!!

I am not one who likes other people getting in kuk, but I hate it with a passion when rich, famous people get off because they think they are more superior. I hope Ricci comes through with both his injuries, not only his leg, but now also the mental scaring of being dragged into a court battle with family of Princess Diana!

I am not sure if you know that Kitty and Amelia Spencer, socialites in the Cape Town scene are the niece’s of world famous Princess Diana. The girls are known around the town for being jollers and my mate and professional footballer Larry Cohen was involved in a fling with one of the girls recently 😉 I am not sure if the fling is still on going, but he definitely got a good ride on that journey!

Read Article Here: Local Boy Ricci C assaulted by Princess Diana’s niece

Ricci Cinti: The helpless civilian on crutches that was assaulted by Princess Diana's niece and her boy friend!

Now I have seen that after my mate who got ripped out of a taxi and punched in the head a few weeks back, has been related to these two famous girls. Ricci, the oke who got hit, is a good mate of mine and is currently in a moon boot from a football injury sustained at 5’s Futbol in Mouille Point only weeks ago. Therefore it would have been impossible for him to actually assault any one, or anything other than a helpless fly? With which he would still struggle! Funny how father of the girls, Earl Spencer, 46, said: “It is upsetting that a man who assaulted my daughter should try to press charges against her when she had merely reacted in self-defence.”

Ricci C is loved all over Cape Town. He is a charmer too, I really find this story blaming him hard to believe!

I am not one who likes other people getting in kuk, but I hate it with a passion when rich, famous people get off because they think they are more superior. I hope Ricci comes through with both his injuries, not only his leg, but now also the mental scaring of being dragged into a court battle with family of Princess Diana! I hope the people responsible get what they deserve.  Apparently the lietjie who assaulted Ricci went to Reddam House, information which I got from an acquaintance who used to attend the same school!

WELL, IT WASN’T AMELIA SPENCER WHO BEATED YOUR FRIEND, BUT A MALE FRIEND OF HER. SHE ARGUED WITH YOUR FRIEND, THEY CHANGED BAD WORDS, THAT’S ALL. I WONDER IF SAYNG BAD WORDS IN A TRAFFIC ROW IS A CRIME. I REALLY THINK YOUR FRIEND SHOULD CHARGE THE MAN WHO INJURIED HIM, BUT FOR SURE IT IS MORE INTERESTING MONETARIALY FOR HIM CHARGE THE DAUGHTER OF A MILLIONAIRE EARL THAN A MOB. IT MAKES ME SICK UUGGGHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!

    • Mr. Cape Town January 17, 2011 at 8:38 am #

Thanks for the reply Mariana. I am glad someone is coming with the other side of the story, ads a blogger I know there are always two, if not more versions of the same incident! I am simply commenting on this article that I found in the tabloids. I understand it was not her that actually hit him, but there is such a thing in the SA Consitutional Law which protects ppl against verbal abuse too!

He is not doing this for money, as surely he would have obliged when I asked him to do a video/Twitter interview with me? This would have gained him a lot more exposure and created a bigger hype around the actual story. He did not and asked me not to include him in any statements just yet! If you hear anything more, about the story or the progress in the case please come back and comment again!

Have a wonderful week, in the end the truth will prevail, it always does! As professional football managers say daily to players, if you get caught up in the media, you won’t get anywhere. Just a story I thought the Cape Town public would enjoy, seeing as though it made various tabloids and newspapers alike!

@Mr G man. That is not what I intend to happen. The guy has clearly made a mistake and may even have had a few dops. I am sure he realises what he did was wrong.

@Mariana here is a link to the specific article on which I was commenting http://bit.ly/i4svtK

You fail to mention that your mate… Have a KAK wealthy family. Not so simple now is it?

The boy is a hooligan and was slammed when it took place. No brainer really.

    • Mr. Cape Town January 17, 2011 at 7:16 pm #

thanks for you input. I am not taking sides, just simply commenting on the article I read and am relating it to the countless times when people get off because of their Social Stature! Not only a week ago they posted pictures in the paper of the countless celebs that have slipped out of trouble for crimes which ‘normal people’ like me would pay the price for.

If you have any further information, evidence or footage please feel free to comment or send it to me via email.

  7. Nick January 19, 2011 at 10:49 am #

” I am not taking sides” – are you JOKING?

    and I quote:

“Ricci, the oke who got hit, is a good mate of mine and is currently in a moon boot from a football injury sustained at 5â€ēs Futbol in Mouille Point only weeks ago. Therefore it would have been impossible for him to actually assault any one, or anything other than a helpless fly?” – just because someone’s in a moonboot, doesn’t mean they can’t assault anyone. Clearly you’ve never seen Monty Python’s Quest for the Holy Grail.

    • Mr. Cape Town January 19, 2011 at 8:51 pm #

Well he is my mate that’s how I heard about the story correct. I was assuming most humans with a plate in their foot, who can’t walk properly without crutches would find it hard to punch/hit someone. If he did not have crutches fair enough, but as I said I wasn’t there and I will wait to hear the story like the rest of you!

      • martin March 17, 2011 at 11:26 am #

These are facts that Mr Cape Town put up, not taking sides, mere facts

  8. MARIANA January 24, 2011 at 8:25 pm #

Well, guys, street fights are a very common incident, Lady Amelia Spencer is only a teenager and she didn’t injury anyone, just changed bad words. Of course this Ricci said her bad words too. I just think it was given a much bigger proportion ’cause Amelia is first cousin of princes William and Harry. She’s beautiful, she comes from one of the most illustrious families of british aristocracy, she’s rich, but she’s a human being, she’s just a young girl, she was wrong changing bad words in a traffic row, but she’s not a monster for it.

    • Mr. Cape Town January 25, 2011 at 2:08 pm #

100% no one said she is a monster. I know people that are mates with her and apparently the two only exchanged deep words and another male assaulted him! But, you can’t turn back the clock and this just shows what a bit of alcohol does to anyone, no matter what your sityuation or background. Been there, done that and made the silly mistakes myself too. I am sure we all have at least once?

  9. marcia January 24, 2011 at 9:58 pm #

That’s a pity, these beautiful boy and girl involved in a fight! I hope it all be solved , they could be a nice couple, maybe they could date in a happy end? The best wishes, Ricci and Amelia!

  11. Miss. Cape Town February 3, 2011 at 11:57 am #

If I might add my 5 cents – Ricci Cinti is a spoilt Sea Point boy with a very large silver spoon up his arse.

Jumping the queue of a MacDonald’s drive-in is something he’d most likely do and he’d usually get away with it (yes, yes, I know he was in a taxi, but why would a taxi jump a queue rather than sit there clocking up the meter? He probably had severe munchies and desperately needed the Super Sized Big Mac Meal.)

Anyway, Ricci has probably bitten off more than he can chew, coming up against a family who clearly has more money than his and who are prepared to fight him in court.

Cape Town is a small place. Anyone who knows him from Sea Point or Camps Bay will know that he’s got a big mouth and is a shit stirrer.

Nevertheless, every story has 3 sides to it: his, hers and the truth – but he’ll forever be known as the Poor Little Rich Boy who got beat up by a chick.

    • Mr. Cape Town February 4, 2011 at 11:12 pm #

Thanks for ur input Miss Cape Town.

Clocking up the metre…obv that is an option, but I don’t think it is the real truth. I don’t think anyone will hear the real truth will all the money flying around the court room, and the dirt that the rich little heiress has tried to unearthed about Cinti.

I guess coming up against powerful families is something ppl just can’t do anymore. Rich ppl always prevail, that is what my initial problem was and why I wrote the article. Many ppl get arrested daily for drinking and driving, yet the rich ones seem to just get a fine and it drops away. It doesn’t end there and overflows into many categories!

If you have any updates on the case that would be sick? please email me at dylan@campsbay.net

  12. The Real Miss CPT February 7, 2011 at 12:48 pm #

I hate the fact that being “famous” gets you out of trouble. When anyone else does wrong they must suffer the consequences. Hiring William Booth as an attorney was a smart move on Earl Spencers part considering Booth has got pedophiles and rough n tough boys (who leave innocent people disabled and wheelchair bound) off before. It’s sad actually that the guilty get off due to who their lawyer is.

Why not just admit you are wrong? Plead guilty and finally take control of your life!! Stop being a spoilt brat and face the music.

Ricci has been in a bit of trouble before, but he would be the first to admit it, especially when he is in the wrong. As for this “silver spoon” he apparently has up his arse, it’d be a teaspoon in comparison to the LADLE that Kitty has. Her sense of entitlement is appalling and her history of aggression is also being over-looked. Drugs and alcohol do funny things to people after all.

Little “Miss Cape Town” needs to get her facts straight and drop her personal vendetta with Ricci. Most people who know him in fact like him and don’t see him the way she describes. I met him roughly 2 years ago, and have NEVER had a bad thing to say nor heard a bad thing said about him.

Cape Town is a small place indeed, but then again so is South Africa AND so is the world. Just ask Kitty how she enjoys PLETT….. Stories of previous disputes are ripe about the Lady!!

I’m not going to claim to know the truth about the night as I was not there. And I will agree, there is definitely truth in “there are 3 sides to every story”! But how about sticking with the truth instead of talking circles and messing up your own story? Live by the saying I was brought up by: “If you tell the truth you don’t have to remember the details of the lies”- instead of having to remember details of a lie about what you said, when you said it, who was there etc, an honest statement will never change.

Karma’s a b#!&h, and the B#!&h bites hard. I wait with bated breath for the truth to speak out, and when it does we shall see who’s right and who’s wrong in the whole situation.

Awe. he is a legend an just hope the ‘fell unconscious’ story truth comes out!

  14. marcia February 9, 2011 at 8:35 pm #

I can’t understand why so much noise about that, that was only a drunken teenagers row late at night, no one was injuried. I think Amelia Spencer is a teenager as any other, quite irresponsible and silly, but not wicked.
I have been a teen psychologist for many years and I can say you that drunken teenagers changing slaps is a quite common fact. For sure it is being so controversial because of her family status, unfortunately Amelia Spencer is clearly being judged for being a Spencer, niece and first cousin of the England princes and not as a 18 yrs old human being (quite a child physically and mentally). I also feel sorry for mr Cinti, but for sure who beated him most was the man who was not found, not the thin and drunken teenager. I hope it all ends well for both, it was only a stupid row anyway!

  15. the Real Miss Cape Town February 10, 2011 at 8:24 am #

I understand she was just being a typical drunk teenager, and I’m sure most of us have done things we regret.
Unfortunately however, someone WAS hurt, namely Ricci. He still has issues with pain in his jaw and head from where he was hit and where his head got knocked on the pavement. Not so mention the fact that Kitty kicked him when he was on the ground too (which the taxi driver witnessed)
I’m no innocent angel. I’ve been in my own fair wack of trouble before, but I took responsibility for it, and learnt from it.
As for the ‘boy’ who is missing: it is known who he is, where he went to school, where he studied etc etc! His time will come too face the music!

    • Mr. Cape Town February 10, 2011 at 11:34 am #

Funny thing is we all know the guy and yet the Court still waste their time and the families’ money on overpriced, contraversial lawyers! I suppose money is not an issue for them though…Which is once again my point, it doesn’t matter who you are, who you know, or who your lawyer is, people should be treated equally and money should not determine who pays for crimes and who gets off scott free!

      • martin March 17, 2011 at 11:33 am #

Who is the guy?let us have him

  16. the Real Miss Cape Town February 10, 2011 at 9:36 am #

Please forgive grammar mistakes ( ‘so’ and ‘too’ should be ‘to’ etc)

3hrs sleep and tiny Blackberry speed typing aren’t a good mix! But you catch the drift….

    • Mr. Cape Town February 10, 2011 at 11:27 am #

haha nice to know after 3 hrs sleep you are still commenting via ur mobile. True loyalty 😉 Thanks sweety and your comment is by far the most rational and honest of the lot, appreciate it!

  17. Miss Cape Town February 10, 2011 at 7:02 pm #

Yeah, no Burger King, but he screwed over someone very close to me… Hardly a personal vendetta, I just thought it would be refreshing to add insight into a clearly biased conversation, especially since I know a few things about Ricci that many don’t. Painting him as a picture of innocence is hardly fair, especially since the boy does a history of violent outbursts himself.

Maybe the Real Miss Cape Town’s attitude towards the so called “legend” will change when he’s had enough of her kissing his wounds better and gives her a fat miss.

Yes, Lady Amelia has a history of strange behavior and outbursts, I don’t for one second doubt she did what she apparently did. She’s a spoilt little girl who’s parents have thrown money at in order to keep her serious personal issues at bay… as I said before, there are always 3 sides to a story.

Oh, and regarding getting my facts straight – Real Miss Cape Town: you are aware that Kitty Spencer is in fact Amelia’s sister, right? We’re talking about her, Amelia Spencer, not Kitty Spencer.

It’s also fine to point out she has a history with drugs & alcohol, but are you completely sure that Ricci doesn’t? Big call…

    • Mr. Cape Town February 11, 2011 at 11:00 am #

Thanks Miss Cape Town. Can we get you 2 girls on camera for an exclusive interview maybe?

Thanks for the insight once again and we look forward to seeing the outcome of this case. People must stop bringing up the past and deal with the issues they have created for themselves. No clue why people are worried about either of their pasts? This is a case about 1 assault incident, not about anyone’s apparent drug habits, ex’s feuds or personal vendetta’s. If you decide to act in a certain way, then you must pay the price. Simple?

  18. marcia February 10, 2011 at 10:37 pm #

There’s a confusion here, the girl involved in the row is Amelia Spencer. Kitty Spencer is her sister, a 20 yrs old Capetown University Student, who never has been involved in a row or seen drunken, she’s a bit famous in England as a model, but Amelia Spencer isn’t a famous person, she lives a tottaly common life in Capetown. I’m so sorry mr Cinti still feels pain, thanks God it hasn’t any worst consequences! In the high school where I’ve been worked, drunken teenagers involved in rows often present bleeding noses, swollen eyes and faces, but rarely more serious injuries, but I can remember of a boy wounded by the glass of a bottle. Many times they can’t remember what happened. The standard punishments in these cases have been a night passed in the police station, hard warning by policemen, parents paying bails and healing hungover in the day after in home. What to do with drunken teenagers who changed knocks in a row? Maybe it could be nice if mr Cinti and Amelia Spencer could met and talk, maybe forgiveness could be better in this case!

    • Mr. Cape Town February 11, 2011 at 11:06 am #

Yeah 100% think they should meet and forget. But once people apparently twist stories and the fact that Amelia’s male friend was said to be the person responsible for hitting Mr Cinti and not her, it complicates things a bit…Clearly they went and dug some dirt on Mr Cinti as you can see by some of the comments, but everyone has dirt on them as we found out ourselves. One thing I love about Cape Town, everyone knows everything about everyone 😉 You can’t hide in this melting pot!!!

Thanks for your input Marcia, been a true loyal reader. Legend 🙂

  19. Anon February 15, 2011 at 2:22 pm #

You are all totally missing the point – all of you

All the time is being spent on the story with regard to Amelia and Ricci – because Ricci only ever received a number plate of the car that the perpetrators got away in. He did not know it was Amelia Spencer when he laid the charge.

The problem is – the whole thing will get thrown out of court because it wasnt Amelia who gave him a clout and Will Booth will prove this, no doubt they have cctv footage

This story is about the boyfriend who decided to give Ricci a clout – he is the one who should be charged with assault, not Amelia

    • Mr. Cape Town February 15, 2011 at 4:28 pm #

definitely. Amelia was verbally abusing him but that is overlooked these days and rightly so. I def don’t think someone should suffer from saying bad words, but the boyfriend should not be a coward and rather face the music? Howcome the cops apparently can’t find him?

But I totally agree with your point 100%!

  20. lau111 March 17, 2011 at 1:33 pm #

Please do not make generalized comments about Reddam students. As a Reddam matriculant I can say that there are some spoilt brats at that school but they only make up at most about 10%. The other 90% are normal teenagers.

I dont appreciate threatening remarks such as the one made by Robyn. I find that kind of thing extremely offensive. Generalizations are an excuse for hatred and violence. I personally do not agree with violence in any form and that includes Amelia’s behaviour as well as Robyn’s. In my opinion, they are both as bad as each other. In a society where stereotypes have caused so much damage, I think we need to be cautious of throwing them out there without thinking of the consequences.

Lets learn to be more loving and judge each other less

    • Mr. Cape Town March 17, 2011 at 2:31 pm #

Thanks for your comment Laura 🙂

Agree about the peace and love xx

  21. Justin March 17, 2011 at 4:40 pm #

Can you lot stop slating William Booth? He is one of the best defence attorney’s in the country; if not the best – one day if/when you’re in a pickle you may wish you had his help. Plenty of people around the world have been convicted of crimes they’re whereby they’re completely innocent – arguing a defence is not easy at all.

William Booth simply points out the evidence in an extraordinary way and shows proof that the case against his client may not be as compelling as everyone thinks – but by then the media has warped your perception so much that you cannot believe he has gotten a “guilty” person free.

It’s true that more often than not the media, press and bloggers jump to the defence of the victim every single time because that’s what will get people reading their work – and this is how we’ve come up with the “innocent until proven guilty” part.

I don’t know any of these people named above (Kitty/Amelia/Ricci) but what I do know is the following:

Dyl, claiming that Ricci couldn’t do any harm because he was in a moon boot is a bit of a joke – we both know that one doesn’t need two legs to throw a punch or jump someone; if anything the moon boot would have given the guy an edge in his mortal combat.

Also, people here slating Reddam students. Not quite sure what your gripe with Reddam students is, but you’re getting a little out of hand; if you’re refering to the boys who “beat up” (well didn’t beat up, because they got off) that other boy then maybe you should ask yourself what school they went to before Reddam? I’m sure you’ll find that they didn’t start their schooling at Reddam.

This blog post was about your friend, Dyl. Your mate who got into a tussle with a “celeb” and now finds himself in the dog box.

You’ve got the comments/hits, but you’re treading on dangerous steps – are you accusing her of being drunk?

“this just shows what a bit of alcohol does to anyone, no matter what your situation or background”

Was she driving the vehicle in question? If so, your accusation suddenly becomes a hot topic; and don’t be surprised if the Spencer’s come after you for defamation.

I’m sure we can both agree that it wouldn’t be the first time one of your mates caused a stir…. crowbars and parking lots come to mind…. 😉

    • Mr. Cape Town March 17, 2011 at 5:43 pm #

@Justin: Thanks for your comment and I appreciate your views and the fact that you are a return reader. Please note I am just trying to answer your questions as best as possible. So let’s go 😉 Let’s put you in a moonboot and I will even rawl you, haha. Then you will see the point I was making. He had broken bones across his foot, trust me you ain’t fighting with a rod in there! Well not effectively anyway.

Regarding Reddam. I have many mates from Reddam and they are some of my closest! aka Darren and Calvin so I am sure you know my feelings about that. Tussle with a celeb yes, although how is it Ricci’s fault if a taxi he is in apparently jumps a cue? The oke wasn’t driving…I don’t know about her being drunk or not bro, for all I know she could have been sober. But a sober person surely would not have ‘thrown a ciggy at someone and has a swearing match’ over something so silly, like a drive through incident?

Me and my mates? I had nothing to do with that incident and you know clearly well that I was sitting on a pavement alongside as it happened mate. What are you trying to do here, leave your view or try get someone else in kak? Oh, and the ‘was she driving’ was a question, not an accusation. I was looking to find out whether maybe a witness, or the McDonalds cameras would be able to give us a better idea of how this came about…Don’t forget when Ricci got arrested for being drunk in his car in the parking lot it was all over the tabloids, so therefore it could have played a role in the outcome!

The fact that it has now come out that there were apparently ‘bent truths’ told in court in order to conceal someone else’s identity is exactly the point I put across? I have nothing against these girls, in fact I don;t even know them, apart from the stories I hear, like the one with your brother and the crowbar? You putting me in that scenario also defamates my character does it not?

All I was trying to say was that I have seen far too many times where celeb status people get off crimes, where normally other civilians wouldn’t find themselves so lucky. This was just after many of our top local personalitites were published in the paper regarding fines they recieved, where others would have found themselves in much deeper shit.

In conclusion, William Booth is an utter beast and probably could have got OJ off trial. He is a very knowledgable man who is the best in the county, if not the world, at what he does. There is no hiding that! I don’t deny the mans talents at all and in fact actually praise how good he is at his job. We need more ppl in our country putting the effort he does into their jobs!

  22. Seriously March 17, 2011 at 7:50 pm #

I cant believe that this is what you sepnd your lives talking about. Come on. Firsty, I happen to know all the spencer sisters, and in fact if you got to know them, u would realise that they are NOT spoilt brats with silver spoons in their mouths, but in fact incredibly humble considering they are almost royalty.

Secondly, you cannot accuse amelias “boyfriend” of being the one who hit Ricci. If the police havnt caught the male who asssaulted him, you cannot assume that it was her boyfriend who did the assaulting.

Another point, you cannot steoreotype the spencer sisters, they are in fact all very different. so @the real miss CT… Maybe next time try getting the sisters name right.

Yes indeed it was a good idea to hire Willam Booth as he is the best and Ricci is probably just pissed off he didnt get to him first. If you can afford the best, why settle for anything less. Booth doesnt go against the law to win his cases, he is just a blady good lawyer who knows what he is doing.

Lastly, The boys who were accused of “assaulting” Merryweather were proved NOT GUILTY. That means that the court decided that the boys had not in fact assaulted him. Just because Merryweather was injured, does not make him the victim. he was just the unlucky one that got seriously hurt. there are always 2 sides to a story and for all we know Merryweather could have been the one who started the fight…

I think everyone should get over gossiping about other peoples live as there are way more serious things in life that we should focus on/write articles about. Come on people, stop picking on the poor girl just because she is weathly, beautiful and has a well known second name.

    • Mr. Cape Town March 18, 2011 at 10:40 am #

Shot anonymous. Great points you made there. I try to cover articles which are top stories in Cape Town, and, with regard to court battles this is probably the biggest atm. I have found out that it was actually one of her friends bra’s and not actually hers, so sorry about that error!

With regard to the Merryweather case, I know the guy personally and find it hard to believe that no one hurt him when the oke is in a wheelchair but I do not really know that whole story so won’t comment any further. Thanks for your input though, hopefully some other topics will catch your eye a bit more. maybe the sports and the belters…Have a good weekend

  23. Justin March 19, 2011 at 12:01 pm #

    I know, I was just getting involved in the debate – that’s all… 🙂

@Seriously – You’ve said you know the girls, and you said _IF_ we got to know them…. MR Cape Town and I would like to know the girls and get to know them; can you kindly setup a time? Let’s go for drinks somewhere central and we can have a good chat about all this and just generally have a good time. Keen?
