MyCiti Bus & Jammie App For Blackberry

With more and more of these MyCiti Bus stops/stations going up every week in Camps Bay, I am starting to get kind of excited! Other than the fact that the buses will be stopping in the middle of the road (when they could have made some kind of in let for traffic purposes) I think they are going to be awesome! Rumour has it Queens road will become a one way up to accommodate the routes of these new transport vehicles. Not too bleak about that, because you end up waiting for ages whilst oncoming cars make their way while you wait for a gap!

The word on the street is that in the first phase of the service, there will be a stop 800 metres from your doorstep in Camps Bay, with the second phase reducing that to just 400 metres. That is pretty damn awesome if you ask me, I wonder what time they will run on that route till as I may have just found my way home from the jol!!! Some controversy on the matter is the rumour going around that mini bus taxi’s will NOT be able to function on the actual MyCiti Bus routes. I smell the sjambok’s already!

Don’t worry about the taxis. The owners get R800,00 per minivan and the drivers get job offers, according to my friend who’s a businessman in CT for ages. Don’t quote ME on that, though. I’m just the messenger.
