I am sitting up late busy playing on my new iPhone and I saw a Tweet from my favourite rapper (other than Notorious BIG) aka Immortal Technique. If you know me, you will often see me quoting his tracks or playing his songs on my iPod… I think my dream may have just come true. He just Tweeted that he has travelled the World but always wanted to visit South Africa/Brazil, and now his dream has become a reality. Here is the Tweet below that I screen grabbed for you:
If you don’t know who he is, in three words he can be described as: “God Of Rap.” I have included the music video to one of his most famous tracks Dance With The Devil, some pretty damn powerful lyrics so if you are feint hearted… rather don’t listen to it! He doesn’t rap about fucking popping bottles, bitches, cars and all that crap like Lil Wayne and various other clowns. Instead he talks about the earth, politics, social issues, war, drug problems and in the most intellectual terminology you have ever dreamed of. I hope this is true, and, if anyone knows who might be bringing him down or where he will be playing please let me know. Yeah it is true…..hoping he comes down to Cape Town as well….I’ve seen Wu-Tang,Vast Aire (when he was in S.A 2 years ago) Talib Kweli, Nas and they are all amazing live acts, but Immortal Tech. Coming down is a dream come true, can’t wait!!!!! (Just need to see MF DOOM live now,then I can die a happy man,hahaha)
