Review – Star Trek

I don't know about you, but I'm guessing if I lived in those times I would have been on the enemy ship (Narada) which got taken into the black hole, for some funny reason ;)

I have always preferred Star Wars to Star Trek. The only thing before this evening I have ever known about Star Trek is that one of the movies was called First Contact, only because I have an old shirt with the logo and branding on it! Don’t ask me where on Earth I got it but it’s laying somewhere in my cupboard.

The good guys ship

I watched the Sunday night movie for the first time in months as I write my Learners tomorrow, therefore Cafe Caprice had to take a back seat. Yes I know I am 23 and still have never done my Learners, have your laugh now… I was really impressed with the new Star Trek film and actually enjoyed it quite a bit. It was weird to see Heroes’ Sylar with a Dumb and Dummer pot cut and some funny ass pixie ears but all in all some good acting and not a bad story line.

Now does this enemy ship not look alot more sick?

Very cool film, the back in time, future, premise works great with a Sci-Fi movie set in space. The best secne is in the early stages of the movie, when the young Captian Kurt, steals the car, Damn that kid(Jimmy Bennet) can act!- Look out for “The Return of Captain Kid”, his new movie, featuring Doc (Christopher Loyd) And if you consider the director (JJ Abrams) mainly writes and directs for TV, i was very suprised.

Overall it was pretty good, Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto, showed what the have to offer. And have already signed or been rumoured to 10 new films each.
The 2nd one is in pre-production, with the third already have being green light by the studio. Expect many more to come.

    Awethu!
