Come Party With Mr Cape Town @ St Yves This Sunday: 5 x Double Ticket Giveaway

Roger Goode and 5FM will be tearing up St Yves this Sunday. Come join me and my brasse for a jol as MONDAY is a PUBLIC HOLIDAY!!! We are giving away 5 Double Tickets for you and someone special. Or just your favourite drinking partner ;)

Camps Bay is not only my home, but also my playground. I have grown up in this hood since I was 5 years old and my names have changed from Denace The Manace to The General (according to the bergie’s) over the years. But I don’t only know the hoodlums in The Bay, I also happen to know some legends at various bars/clubs, like St Yves. St Yves and Anything Goes have provided me with 5 Double Tickets to give away for their 5FM jol this Sunday! Seeing as though Monday is a public holiday, I am pretty sure you would want to attend the hottest party in Cape Town that night…

The DJ lineup includes some top local names, including the big man himself, Roger Goode! If you are from Cape Town I am sure you know just how wild any event gets when this beast is on the decks. Please read below to get a better idea of the event, the DJ lineup and how to enter and WIN πŸ˜‰

If there are any alcohol brands out there that would like to make our night that much better, please let me know and throw in a few bottles for our party πŸ˜‰ Trust me the hype we create will do wonders for your product. Be it Gin, Tequila, Vodka or even some beers…

How To Enter

I am going to make this an easy one, so that everyone stands a fair chance to WIN these valuable tickets. Remember, they usually don’t do a guest list for big events like these πŸ˜‰ Please tell me which is your favourite artist performing at the event and why?

Example: “Chris Jack is my favourite because he used to tear the roof off Get Dumb back when The Bang Bang Club was still one of the hottest venues in town!”

I will choose 5 of the best answers and announce the winners on Saturday some time. Stay tuned to the competition if you want to know if you have won πŸ˜‰

Chris Jack mainly because he’s a mate of mine but like you said in the example back in the good old bangers day of him and Nick Supply, this oke ripped up the decks and definately caused me to overspend and wake up with mammoth hangovers on a regular basis! Legend!

Roger Goode is my favourite artist performing because he is one of SA’s sickest Dj’s! We rang in the New Year 2011 together at The Fez Club πŸ˜‰ was awesome!! Even when I’m at home, I’m still jamming with him in spirit while listening to 5fm Saturday Surgery… Whenever he’s on the decks, you know it’s gonna be GOOOOOODE!! πŸ˜‰

    • Mr. Cape Town March 17, 2011 at 2:36 pm #

great thanks Haajer, hopefully see you Sunday! Goooooode luck πŸ˜‰

I’ll definitely say that Chris Jack is at the top of the list! The memories of Bang Bang back in the day brings me shivers. I am a big Tech House fan and Chris pumps out some solid tech!

ChRiS JacK is Bang-on at the top of the Food Chain in this equation, he is an old Cape Town smasher keeping the dance floor stylin since way back when …

  7. Ryan Whelan March 17, 2011 at 3:27 pm #

Have to say Roger Goode because his music generally appeals to both guys and chicks & it isn’t monotonous! I think I should get the tickets because i havent partied with The General for way too long πŸ™‚

    • Mr. Cape Town March 17, 2011 at 3:33 pm #

Awe Doc, I really liked that one πŸ˜‰ Will let you know by Saturday, but either way we are making open!!!

  8. Fazlin March 17, 2011 at 3:53 pm #

Such a hard choice! Totally dig Roger Goode and Leighton Moody…Roger transforms the car into a pre party on a Saturday night with his hit show on 5fm , Saturday Suuuuuurrrrgery. And loooooove the soulful jams Leighton spins at Deluxe. So i’m breaking the rules here, after all rules are meant to be broken. Roger and Moody it is!

    peace and respect!

So hard to choose between Chris and good old Roger… Had insane nights jamming to both.. But definetly going to have to choose Chris, spent many good nights pushing my luck with bouncers and sneaky missions to jam to him at Bangers… πŸ™‚ Definetly need to have a ‘legal’ night partying to his beats.

  10. Kelly-Ann Mostert March 17, 2011 at 5:34 pm #

Leighton Moody knows how to drop those deep soulful jams especially good on a Sunday at St Yves to get you in the Sunday moooood. Feel the music and the beat. Much love to house and Leighton!

    • Mr. Cape Town March 17, 2011 at 5:45 pm #

thanks Kelly-Ann keep posted for the winners sometime on saturday πŸ™‚

Its time to Paaaartay Karaaaarty with Roger Goode who will be ripping the decks at St Yves!
The music puts you in a trance while you dance, uplifting your mind, body and soul with some upbeat electro-house and some drum and base in your face! My ultimate combo in the whole entire universe

As the vinyl starts spinning withthat scratching sound seems so distant it makes you feel asif your in a Charlie Chaplin movie.

The sound starts to trebble then the bass kicks in making that liquid fluid move within your spinal cord and releasing energy into your blood stream which makes your heartbeat thump faster with exitement as your hands get sweaty and your nerves kick in. This is a feeling that makes want to travel through time and space.

Amidst all this inner chaos and soulfull feeling you open your eyes and see the presence of on man with one mission and one desire which is to please your body and make it sway into joyfull bliss like a music conductor he controlls your every movement.

He is the funk, the soul and indeed he is ROGER GOODE ready to take control….

My best memories are those from when I first came to Cape Town, breaking it down to Roger Goodes Saturday Surgery in ShanΓ©s toaster, on route to St Yves… Those beats guarantee a sick night, and Sunday is one night I will not be missing out on. Roger Goode + St Yves means one thing….trouble – and we all know how much I love trouble πŸ˜‰ Its that deadly combination that made me move to this awesome city and acquire my nickname, Naughty Nats πŸ˜‰ Long story short, Roger Goode will definately be the highlight of my night – his music, and that wax job that he’s has been bragging about haha πŸ™‚

    • Mr. Cape Town March 18, 2011 at 6:24 pm #

HAHA Thanks Naughty Nats, hopefully we will be seing you there!

  17. Daniela Osato March 18, 2011 at 4:04 pm #

its going be a sensual sunday! get me involved πŸ™‚

    • Mr. Cape Town March 18, 2011 at 6:23 pm #

HAHAHA well that has to take it. Did you put that black lace part in because of my fetish?

  18. Reco March 19, 2011 at 5:18 pm #
