I was having a squiz through all the local blogs today as I do every morning and I stumbled upon something extremely interesting… I always find at least one interesting article on the Life Is Savage blog and today was no different. I see that he got his hands on a leaked picture of what looks like a new Savanna Dry deodorant? I think this is an absolute cracker of a brand extension, brilliant!!!
It seems Savanna are using their unrivalled knowledge of ‘Dry’ to launch a drier-than-dry antiperspirant. Given the link to Savanna Dry cider and Savanna’s characteristic dry sense of humour, this seems like a pretty believable extension in my eyes… The picture is a bit blurred and I can’t see whether it is going to be a spray or a roll on, but from the looks of it I am guessing an aerosol can! Savage has emailed the brand guys to get the inside scoop, so let’s see if they reply.

Erm… I think you have been April Fooled. Just like the supposedly “left-handed” bottles that they have been advertising on the radio this past week – not a new idea for an April Fool’s joke, mind you. The idea stems from an April Fool’s joke from a good few years ago about a left-handed burger that was going to be sold.
Yeah I saw this on the Facebook Page and on the radio… Savage also had it on his blog and I really thought it was pretty reasonable as a brand extension! Consider me fooled
