Nike Running: “Addiction” TV Advert

I am a huge fan of TV adverts and an even bigger fan of the Nike brand. Being a footballer and coach myself, I can tell you there is nothing like slipping on a pair of new Nike boots and cracking one into the net! I am still unfortunately donning a pair that was given to me by Benni McCarthy whilst he was at Blackburn Rovers, if I am not mistake they belonged to Matt Derbyshire. This feeling is surely no different to what a runner experiences when slipping on a pair of Nike trainers!

This Nike Addiction TV advert shows the connection between training and psychological problems humans encounter on a daily basis. “The running high” is certainly a reality and I think Nike have captured the concept and executed it to perfection. Making a comparison between drug addictions and the addiction derived from road running is the highlight of the campaign. Well done Nike, keep them coming!!!
