I ran into some Tweets a while back from @BaileySchneider about this awesome company in Cape Town and I see they have just launched a kick ass new website. So as I do, I thought I would spread the word with my fellow Mother City Instagram addicts!
In a few words, 250gram prints your Instagrams at R4 per picture and delivers them, beautifully packaged! I personally have very few photographic memories these days in a tangible format, and, am definitely going to be printing a few of my favourite snap shots. Gone are the days that we took photo’s and developed them, we now just seem happy with keeping an archive on our Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Hard Drive.

About 250gram
250gram is a brand spanking new startup based in Cape Town that began with the idea to revive photographic-print-culture by providing an online-printing service that connects with your Instagram™ account. In today’s world most of us are happily snapping away on our phones, taking countless pictures, and uploading the best ones to a social network without the intention of ever really printing them out. This is where we come in: our primary service is Instagram printing, which allows you to simply login on our website with your Instagram account, and then select the images you’d like to have printed.
These are then printed in a beautiful polaroid style on lustre photographic paper, using high quality inks. We have a minimum order of x15 prints with a cost of R4.00 each, which will then be speedily couriered (not posted) to your door for just R30.00. If you’re feeling generous, then why not send a 250gram gift voucher: simply decide whether you would like to have a gift voucher emailed to yourself, so that you can print it out, or have it emailed directly to the recipient. Social Printing
Our second service specifically caters for brands and companies. We call it #SocialPrinting, and it can be best described as ‘Hashtag location-based printing’ which was developed alongside our website. The #SocialPrinting service provides guests at a party with a real incentive to take and upload photos via hashtags and Instagram – The reward for this interaction being beautifully printed polaroids by us, live at your event.
